Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

The short version

  • There are no accounts here. You do not register, and you do not give us your name, address, or CV.
  • Your answers to the questions travel in the web address of the page you are on. We use them to build your results.
  • We show advertising, and advertising uses cookies. You choose what you allow through the consent banner, and you can change it at any time.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • You have rights over your data, including the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.

1. Who is responsible for your data

jobs.reward.land is operated by Avertago ApS, registered in Denmark under CVR number DK45105865, at Sandkaj 21, st. th., 2150 Nordhavn, Denmark. Avertago ApS is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, what we do with it, and what rights you have. It applies to jobs.reward.land only. Other sites in the reward.land family have their own policies.

2. The site has no accounts

This is the single most important thing to understand about privacy on this site: there is nothing to sign up for. There are no user accounts, no logins, no passwords, and no profiles.

You do not tell us your name, your email address, your location, your work history, or anything else about yourself in order to search. As a result we hold far less information about you than a typical job site does.

3. What happens to your answers

The site asks you three questions: the kind of work you want, how much experience you have, and whether you want a steady role or project work.

Those answers are carried in the web address of the page you are viewing — the part after the question mark. They are sent to our own job database so that it can return matching listings, and they are used to build the page you see. They are not attached to your name, because we do not have it.

If you choose a country on the results page or the list page, that choice is stored in your own browser so that you do not have to pick it again. It stays on your device, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser data.

4. We do not detect your location

We deliberately do not look up your location from your IP address or from any other signal. The site never guesses where you are.

Country is only ever something you choose yourself, and only when you choose to. Until you do, the site simply shows you everything.

5. What we collect

In summary, the categories of information involved are:

  1. 5.1Your search answers. The three answers above, carried in the page address and sent to our job database to produce results.
  2. 5.2Preferences stored on your device. The country you selected, held in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it.
  3. 5.3Technical and log data. Standard information your browser sends whenever it requests a page, including IP address, browser type, language, referring page, and the time of the request. Our hosting provider and our job database record this in server logs for security and reliability.
  4. 5.4Cookies and similar technologies. Set for functionality, measurement, and advertising, subject to the choices you make in the consent banner. Our Cookie Policy describes these in detail.
  5. 5.5Anything you send us directly. If you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to include in your message.

We do not ask for, and have no use for, special categories of data such as health, religion, ethnicity, political opinions, or trade union membership. Please do not send us any.

6. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

Under the GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each purpose. Ours are:

  1. 6.1To show you matching job listings. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the service you have asked to use. Without your answers we cannot produce results.
  2. 6.2To remember your country choice. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a site that behaves sensibly on a second visit. This is stored on your device, not on our systems.
  3. 6.3To keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse, scraping, and attacks, and in diagnosing faults.
  4. 6.4To show advertising and measure it. Legal basis: your consent, given through the consent banner. Where you do not consent, advertising is limited to non-personalised advertising.
  5. 6.5To understand how the site is used. Legal basis: your consent, given through the consent banner.
  6. 6.6To reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
  7. 6.7To comply with the law. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interest is outweighed by your rights, and you may object at any time — see section 12.

7. Advertising

The site carries advertising, including advertising served by Google through AdSense. Advertising is what keeps the service free.

Advertising technologies may set cookies or read identifiers on your device in order to select adverts, limit how often you see the same one, and measure performance. Depending on your choices, adverts may be personalised using data collected across websites, or non-personalised and based only on general context.

We use a consent management platform that participates in the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. When you first visit, you are asked what you allow. Your choices are passed to advertising partners, and you can reopen the banner and change them at any time.

Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising data it collects. Google describes how it uses data from sites that use its services in its own privacy documentation, which we encourage you to read.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share your search answers with advertisers for their own purposes.

8. Measurement and tag management

We use a tag manager to load and control the scripts on the site, including advertising and measurement scripts. It is configured to respect the choice you make in the consent banner: where you have not consented, advertising and measurement run in a restricted mode that sets no cookies and sends no personalised data.

Measurement tells us aggregate things such as how many people used the site, which pages they visited, and where the site is not working properly. We use it to improve the service, not to build profiles of individuals.

9. Push notifications

The site may offer you the option to receive browser notifications about new listings. This is entirely optional and switched off unless you ask for it.

If you accept, your browser creates a subscription identifier that allows a message to be delivered to that browser. It does not tell us who you are. You can withdraw at any time through the notification settings in your browser, and we will stop sending.

10. Email, if you choose to give it

The site does not currently require an email address. If we introduce an optional email service — for example, sending you a copy of your results or alerting you to new listings — it will be clearly described at the point you are asked, and joining it will be your choice.

If you do join, we would use your address only for the purpose you agreed to, on the basis of your consent, and every message would contain a way to unsubscribe. We would not sell your address or pass it to advertisers.

11. Who else is involved

We keep the number of parties involved deliberately small. Personal data may be handled by:

  • Our hosting provider, which runs the website and its servers.
  • Our own job database service, operated by Avertago ApS, which receives your search answers and returns matching listings.
  • Cookie Script, which records and stores your consent choices.
  • Google, for advertising and measurement, subject to your consent.
  • Authorities or advisers, where we are legally required to disclose information or need professional advice.

Where these act on our instructions they do so as processors under a data processing agreement. Google acts as an independent controller for advertising data.

Some of these providers are established outside the EU and EEA. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision, on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with any additional safeguards required.

12. Your rights

If the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:

  1. 12.1ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
  2. 12.2have inaccurate data corrected;
  3. 12.3have data erased in certain circumstances;
  4. 12.4ask us to restrict how we use it;
  5. 12.5object to processing based on legitimate interests, including profiling for advertising;
  6. 12.6receive data you provided in a portable format;
  7. 12.7withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was done before you withdrew it.

There is an honest limitation worth stating: because the site has no accounts, we usually cannot connect a request to any particular person's browsing. If you write to us we will help as far as we practically can, and we may have to explain that we hold nothing identifiable about you.

The most direct control you have is the consent banner, which you can reopen and change at any time, and your own browser settings for cookies, local storage, and notifications.

13. How long we keep things

Server and security logs are kept for a short period, typically no longer than a few months, and then deleted or aggregated.

Consent records are kept for as long as required to demonstrate that consent was given, and cookies expire according to the periods set out in our Cookie Policy.

Preferences stored in your browser remain until you clear them. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter, and then deleted.

Job listings themselves are not personal data about you. They are removed from our database once they no longer appear at their original source.

14. Automated decisions

The site matches your answers against listings automatically, which is simply how a search works. It does not make any decision that produces legal effects for you or similarly significantly affects you. No employer sees your answers, and no application is accepted or rejected on the basis of anything we do.

15. Children

The site is intended for people looking for work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

16. When you leave the site

When you click a job listing you go to a website we do not control — an employer, an applicant tracking system, or a job board. The same is true of the local job boards we link to and of any advertiser.

This policy stops at that point. Anything you provide to those sites, including your CV and contact details, is governed by their privacy policies, not ours. We never receive your application.

17. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and our job database accepts requests only from our own website and applies rate limiting to guard against scraping and abuse.

No system is perfectly secure, but the risk here is limited by design: we hold very little about you, because we ask for very little.

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. Where a change materially affects you, we will make that clear on the site.

19. Contact and complaints

For any question about this policy or about your data, please use the contact page on this site.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark. If you live in another EU or EEA country, you may instead complain to the supervisory authority there.

This policy is provided in English. If you are reading a translated version and the two disagree, the English text applies. It describes how this site actually works, rather than covering services we do not offer. It does not constitute legal advice. See also our Cookie Policy and Terms and Conditions.
